my keto plan

my keto plan

so a lot of people have been asking me about how to make bone broth soup for keto, which i started making a couple of weeks ago so i thought i’d make a quick video of how i make it and what i put in it. so i got my slow cooker here. init you’ll see there’s already some water here. i usually use filtered water, fill itup to the level of bones as well as some bay leaves are in here, i also add this here whichis available locally here, it’s a local product and it’s a seasoning, has no carbsor anything in it. i usually put two or three table spoons of that. obviously we need applecider and vinegar to help break down the bones and bring all the nutrients out. two tablespoons of that works. you also want to add some good salts in there, i use good himalayansalt. just focusing, here you go. and a lot

of people add vegetables in that, i don’t.i usually only add garlic so add to taste whatever you like. and then when i go overhere, so here’s the bones i’m using. it’s better to get like a knuckle or like a shoulder, something with a lot of joint tissue for your soup to get more gelatinous and a lot morecollagen in there. but this works well too. right now the butcher didn’t have it availableso i bought some beef bones. you can see all the marrow that’s in here. i roasted itfor ten to twenty minutes, fifteen to twenty minutes sorry. three fifty, this is what happens.so it’s actually better for the bones to be roasted, it helps break down when it’sinside the slow cooker. and i’m also adding pig feet so a lot of collagen in here, a lotof good stuff. just rinse it well and then

you put it inside and then what i’ll dois ill put it all in here and then i’ll put it on to low and keep it there for abouttwo days and in two days i go in there and mix. it works really well, and then i drainit and then what i’ll do is ill refill it up with filtered water again adding back thebay leaves and spices in there, whatever you want to add and using the same bone, samepig feet, do another batch. you can get one or two solid batches out of it, possibly evena third depending on how good your bones are. but you don’t have to get rid of the bonesafter the first batch. get some use out of them and that’s it. so that’s my quickvideo, i’ll show you the end result in two days.

here’s after one day so we are half waythere. i’ll show you what it looks like. so you can see a lot of the part are lookinglike they are getting cooked. let me see if i can bring this out. so this here is oneof the pig feet still a long way to go but it’s definitely smelling good. let me seeif i can get one of these marrow bones out here. so you can actually see all the marrowinside here. well done. it’s a lot of marrow in there. lot of good stuff so it will comeout as it cooks and it will actually fall right out of the bone which sometimes i leaveit in but i try to fish it out and eat it separately. i’ll show you the end result of my bonebroth. so here it is. it came out really gelatinous

so the bone broth - it’s excellent. the pig feet really helped out. again why bone broth is really good for you it’s really helps when you get ketoadapted. it’s a great fat source, some of the things that we all know. rich in electrolytes, magnesium, sodium and potassium, great source. it really helps to fight keto flu as well.one of the other ones, it helps reduce joint pain because its gelatin collagen that’sin there really great for your skin and bones and ligaments. it helps muscle repair as well. great if you’re really physically active, muscle repair and actually quick recoveryis a really great thing with drinking bone broth and you know strengthen your nails and hair, that’s a given. i already talked about the leaky gut. helps fight infections as well, if you have flu or old, just drink a glass

like i am having here of bone broth soup and great for thyroid health as well and helping fight adrenal fatigue for people drinkingtoo much coffee or too much caffeine actually. it can really help rebuild and restore that.and lastly reducing inflammation, we are all about reducing inflammation in our bodies and this stuff right here, pure magic. i definitely recommend trying it, its super simple, youjust got to set it and forget it for two days and then you get this great stuff. that batchthat i showed you earlier made about four or five big yogurt containers which i putin the freezer to freeze, then i just take it out whenever i want, i have bone brothevery day and it’s fantastic. alright, thanks guys.
